Bought Netipot kit w/sachets to relieve sinus headache pain. Mixed salts with warm water, inserted into nostril, and the burning was unbearable. Tested smaller amounts of sachet contents but still had burning pain. Author: R. Acciaioli Using the NeilMed blue Isotonic mixture packets should not cause burning or stinging as the solution is perfectly pH balanced. Using less of the mixture in the same amount of water will create a hypotonic solution that might burn. Not dissolving the mixture thoroughly in warm water may create an uneven solution that could burn if most of the salt is still at the bottom of the bottle. Please check the instructions on the brochure that came with your neti pot (or on our website) and follow them carefully for the best results.
